Sasha is from the Hudson Valley area of New York.

"I was eight when I took my first photo. We were out West when my father put a camera in my hand. To this day, he swears I took 72 photos of film of the same marmot - oops. Since then I've always said, 'Wouldn't it be nice to do this for work?'

As the years went on, I'd randomly pick up my camera here and there. I'd capture folks in their truest forms and in their favorite elements. I'd watch as they'd light up and knew there was something special about this.

It wasn't until I fully lost who I was, where I was headed, and my purpose, that I decided to pick up my camera for good. The past three years have been a deep dive of exploration with my own shadow and the stories of others' shadows. It is through our shared storytelling, we find the light. When we connect, my only hope is that I leave you feeling safe and seen."
